Twelve Hances Point Yacht Club boats rafted in Cara Cove for sundowners, appetizers and swimming on Saturday.
The ink on the "Get Well Soon Dale" sign is barely dry - a week after major surgery Dale Adams showed up at the club for the Kahuna Burger Luau. Ask Dale to show you his staples (but hurry, they'll be gone soon)!
Late on June 30th heavy wind, rain and lightning pounded North East. Hances Point got a glancing blow with trees limbs down and some minor damage to sails and boats. Dobbs and Suzanne Fryberger of Walden Rigging made their way to the club early to check on boats and spent several hours securing sails, biminis and beginning the cleanup. Please remember to thank them for all their efforts.
Ray Hemphill, Judd Deiner and Billy King were awakened by the lightning and splitting tree branches and early to the cleanup effort, as were Commodore Reese Jones and Greg Hladky.
