Volunteer Procedure

Members are encouraged to volunteer their time to perform maintenance or other improvement projects at the club. It's a great way to meet other members while keeping the club in good repair.  There are several areas where your skills can be applied. Some are seasonal efforts like waterfront crew, grounds crew and moorings while other activities occur throughout most of the year such as Entertainment and House committees.
If you have an interest in a particular committee, please contact one of the Committee Chairs listed on the Officers page.

The following is the typical routine for members volunteering their time (usually on Saturday's) to work on club-related activities:
  1. Member arrival usually at 8 a.m. unless chairman specifies a different time.
  2. Member is assigned duties by chairman ( i.e. dock building, mooring crew on work boat, cleaning crews, painting, scavenging for trash in yard, mowing, clean bathrooms, restock items in bathrooms).
  3. Members work until noon or whenever lunch is scheduled.
  4. Members have lunch (provided by a member can sign up and use these hours in work book... ex: 4 hours pre, serve, clean up)
  5. Member updates beverage book, by indicating if they've had beer or soda with their lunch.  This is done to help beverage maintain inventory.
  6. Member returns to duty.
  7. Member signs hours in volunteer book to be checked by chairman.
